We did talk to the guy who arranged the trip about the incident and he confronted the man about it. However, since we are in Myanmar, I am American, and the guy was Jordanian, it would have been difficult to proceed legally. None of us even speak the local language.

But I will keep your advice in mind. I can see how it would be useful under normal circumstances.
